Big Pineapple Music Festival 2021
Coming directly off the back of an incredible experience at Bass In The Grass in Darwin, it was straight over to Queensland’s picturesque Sunshine Coast for a busy day at Big Pineapple Music Festival!
Lost Motel was taking care of G Flip and Alison Wonderland out of this stacked lineup, advancing and tour managing for a tight-knit group of crew and band members to make their sets a reality amidst the hustle that comes with back-to-back interstate shows and those pesky ever-changing border policies.
Another interesting dilemma? Uber is not a thing on the Sunshine Coast, so pre-booking a taxi became a fun task to ensure crew could get to their accommodation despite delayed flights from other directions. The first day on-ground looked a little different for G Flip, shooting their cameo role in an upcoming feature film ‘6 Festivals’ alongside the lads from Dune Rats, while Alison Wonderland flew in from New Zealand, taking advantage of the much anticipated trans-Tasman bubble.
Despite some unexpected curve-balls leading up to show day, every single person on our team rose to the occasion like the legends they are, going above and beyond to make the day an amazing reality for thousands of music-lovin’ Queenslanders. It’s no secret that the ever-changing landscape of touring in 2021 can be extremely challenging, so we can’t stress how grateful we are for all the teams that give everything to make festivals like Big Pineapple a reality.
