2022 Lost Motel Recap

We all knew it was coming but it’s safe to say that 2022 was one of the biggest and most challenging years our industry has seen.

We at Lost Motel have been grateful and very proud to have worked on an increasing number of projects and clients throughout the year, preparing us for an even bigger 2023.

We want to start by saying a sincere thank you + sending love to our global network of crew and suppliers we have been thankful to work with every day.

A massive shout to our team, which we are proud to say has grown in 2022!!

Rosie Potter, Jordan Tito, Tracey Bonavia, Kyra Cummings & Breiana Bennetts - They put their heart and souls into making sure all of the Lost Motel clients are well cared for. Special kudos to Carly from At Your Ledger and James at the Gild Group for keeping this train on the tracks ;)

In Tour Direction we continued to roll out global advances for Bob Moses , Buzzy Lee, Dope Lemon, Flight Facilities, G Flip, Matt Corby, Touch Sensitive, and also to include Baker Boy, Genesis Owusu, MAY-A, Royel Otis, Sampa The Great & Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. It has been incredible to see clients back playing shows in all corners of the world, including:  Australia, Argentina, Costa Rica, Barcelona, Brazil, Egypt, Europe, Hungary, Lebanon, Mexico, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States (to name a few).

There was no shortage of on road Tour Management being done, Yasmin Massey and Rosie Potter went out on the road for large runs of shows:

Yasmin started with a 30 stop headline bus tour through North America with Bob Moses and then took to Europe, United Kingdom and Mexico. Alongside this, Yasmin & Bob Moses fitted in a string of festival plays like - Lollapalooza (Chicago), Life Is Beautiful (Vegas), III (Miami). Yasmin also took on the iconic Hollywood Bowl with Kelis, before jumping into festival world.

Rosie started the year with the massive Flight Facilities Airfields Australia Tour, continued on with a bus tour throughout North America, Lollapalooza + Osheaga with Genesis Owusu before heading to London with Flight Facilities again. Upon returning to Australia she joined Sampa the Great on the Billie Eilish tour and took on local dates with both Baker Boy and Genesis Owusu.

In 2022 we were able to expand into working with more festivals and it became a big year for rolling out the Artist Relations departments across a number of festivals in Australia and New Zealand.

Sophie took the lead on rolling out the powerhouse events Listen Out, followed by the FISHER AU Festival Tour and then moved right into Spilt Milk

Yasmin returned to New Zealand for Le Currents, Famous Last Words, Bay Dreams North, Bay Dreams South and Plane Sailing

Last but not least, let's not forget the all important visa stratosphere! This year we worked hard to make sure a number of our clients and colleagues got their O1 & O2 visa interviews and stamps.

All in all 2022 was a mix of challenging, confronting, glorious moments and we are so happy, content and thankful for the world being back online and all systems firing!
